Thats right folks. Over at 99bundle.com some aspiring indie devs are giving away a collection of 13 indie games for FREE.

The thinking behind 99bundle.com is that 99% of created games are never played, and they guys/gals over at 99bundle.com are looking to try and push that stat down.

My advice, if you have a free 20 minuites, head on over and grab the bundle, and see what the games are like. If you like them, post back and let me know.

One word of warning, they are not going to be AAA games, with amazing gfx, like all indie developers, substance comes before style.

The Games;

Super Bogus World

Developer: Hubol Gordon and Oddvar Hungnes

A game about… something. Sitting somewhere in-between WarioWare and cult Sega CD title Panic!, Super Bogus World is a minigame collection with a difference. Bizarre imagery, discordant sound and a series of varied, intriguing tasks make up one of the most bizarre yet intriguing games ever made (probably).

Spino’s Dangerous Dungeons

Developer: Jacob Crosby

A retro-inspired 2D platformer, requiring you to protect vulnerable hearts from the approaching enemies. Pickups, upgrades, multiplayer and achievements are all implemented in this challenging title.

NeonPlat Adventures

Developer: Jayenkai

NeonPlat Adventures plays like a classic Super Mario Land game, and indeed, that was it’s inspiration. The player starts on the left, heads to the right, and avoids all the deadly things in-between.  Along the way, you can grab the flowers, grass and spheres to throw at the baddies, and collect as many of the little tokens that you can get your hands on, to earn extra lives. Collecting the lettered boxes will gain you a Retry credit that you can use to restart a level in the inevitable event that you get killed by a hopping springy thing.

Also, it has hats. Everyone loves hats.

Lone Boss and Cub

Developer: Laurent Goethals

Play the part of a dungeon boss and wipe out those who would do harm to your unhatched youngling. Employ the use of minions, a colossal wave of fire and lightning bolts in your ‘heroic’ effort. Requires the included XNA Redistributable package to run.

Diamond Hollow II

Developer: Lee Miller (Arkeus)

A 2D run-and-gun platformer with upgrade mechanics, achievements, original chiptune music, an endearing plot and a wide selection of gameplay modes. Everything you could possibly ask for, and more.

Unnamed Sandbox Game

Developer: MastaZavr

A relaxing, therapeutic physics-based sandbox for you to play around with. Place different types of blocks and watch them interact with each other on a two-dimensional plane. Created with Scirra Construct.

Unstoppaball

Developer: Matthias Zarzecki

Marble Madness for a new generation. Roll yourself around a series of increasingly difficult courses, passing through checkpoints, collecting spheres, unlocking portals and finding secrets.

PRIOR

Developer: Nick Yonge

“Who are you? Where are you? Why are you there? You know nothing.” An atmospheric 2D platformer, taking you on an intriguing journey through a dark and harrowing world.

Pixel Slaughter!

Developer: Przemyslaw Muller

A 2D shooter where careful management of your ammunition is vital. A thumping soundtrack accompanies your bloodbath, as you slaughter wave upon wave of invading enemies with a variety of weapons.

Sens3s: The Art of Understanding

Developer: Tomasz Kaczmarek

A first-person puzzle-adventure game unlike any other. You are blind, and navigate the world via a careful combination of the other senses available to you. A clever, innovative title with a lot to offer. Multimedia Fusion 2 source file is also included.

STD (Super Tower Defence)

Developer: Verbal Studios

A sprawling epic of biblical proportions. A truly magnificent piece of masterful design, standing as a bastion of artistry in a sea of woeful amateurs. The most original, innovative, emotionally moving piece of gaming brilliance ever constructed by the hands of man. Also quite funny.

Next Time I Won’t Trust The Man In The White Van

Developer: Josh ‘Maple’ Coughran and Rory ‘Spaceoff’ Higgins

2D isometric puzzle game, similar to the original Legend of Zelda. Push blocks in a series of increasingly difficult puzzles, move through the levels and enjoy the moody chiptune soundtrack.

Robot Unlock

Developer: Adrian Toncean

A complex and clever puzzle game with an oddly relaxing soundtrack, to keep your mind focused during some of the more ‘frustrating’ parts.
